By registering for your Basic Life Support (BLS) certification class with ACLS.com, you’ll learn everything you need to know and gain the necessary knowledge about current practices while doing it online and on your own schedule. You’ll have all the resources and learning materials you need to successfully complete your BLS certification. This includes a variety of helpful things like videos, articles, and practice tests.
Our online BLS certification course provides 4 CME credits, and your certificate is good for two years. Our BLS certification prepares you as a basic life support provider with an emphasis on working in the healthcare industry. Our courses are all self-paced, self-instructed, and take most learners around three hours to complete the full program.
The BLS certification course covers the following:
- Basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Rescue breathing for adults, children, and infants
- Use of a bag-valve mask device and pocket face mask to administer breaths
- CPR as a lone rescuer or as a part of a two-rescuer team
- Appropriate procedure and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Training directly geared towards the needs and requirements of medical professionals
