Skills General InformationUpdated 2 years ago
Our courses are entirely online for most learners, however, a hands-on skills checkoff form is available, if needed, but is not required in all cases. During the CME/CE Information module, you will be asked if you need a skills evaluation.
Selecting "No" will generate your certification card upon submission of the form. Selecting "Yes" will then enroll you in the skills evaluation "course" where you can read the instructions for completing and downloading your skills form.
The skills course is designed to assist you in completing an in-person evaluation of your psychomotor skills, knowledge, concepts, and techniques in accordance with the most current ILCOR emergency cardiovascular care guidelines as published by the American Heart Association (AHA).
As a healthcare provider or an individual in a position to respond to medical emergencies, it is essential to be able to perform life-saving techniques correctly and confidently.
A hands-on skills check provides an opportunity for you to demonstrate your competency in your skills and receive feedback from a certified instructor. By successfully completing one in addition to the online Certification course, you are taking an important step towards ensuring that you are prepared to respond effectively to medical emergencies while also fulfilling employer requirements.
*Please note that ACLS.com does not provide in-person or virtual hands-on skills check services. The skills evaluation course, including all forms, instructions, and verification steps, is only meant to assist you with the process. To complete this step, you must find a qualified instructor to conduct the evaluation. We recommend sharing the evaluator instructions from your skills course with your instructor for a seamless process.
