How Do I Complete the Skills Evaluation?Updated a month ago
Once you select "Yes" during the CME Registration module of your course, you will be enrolled in the skills "course" and will also receive an email with the link to your course. You can find this skills component, after completing the initial course, by signing into your account and clicking Start on your skills/hands-on course. Select Module #1 then click the fourth section labeled "[Course Name] Hands-on Skills Check". Click "Go to Assignment". You will then upload your completed skills form and click "Submit".
If you do not need a validated skills component, you can simply complete the form with an evaluator of your choosing and return the form to your employer along with your certification card.
However, if you prefer a validated skills component you will need to upload the form via the steps shown HERE for our team to review. Either option will still provide you with a valid certification card.

We have two methods that a skills evaluation can be completed: Self-Guided and Validated (by our Support Team).
Self-guided Skills Evaluation:
This method is the quickest and most direct option for a learner to meet employer skills check requirements. With this option, a learner can do so without the need to circle back with the ACLS.com Support Team.
How it Works:
Download the Hands-On Skills check form within the course.
Independently meet with an evaluator to successfully complete the Hands-on skills check.
- Present the completed, signed Hands-on Skills Check form, along with your current provider card, to your employer for validation.
Validated Skills Evaluation (by our team):
The Validated Hands-On Skills Check option is offered to learners in situations where employers require a single provider card that indicates the completion of a skills check. With this option, some additional time and steps are needed for an ACLS.com instructor to review and validate an independently completed skills check.
How it Works:
Download the Hands-On Skills Check form.
Independently meet with an evaluator to successfully complete the Hands-On Skills Check.
Upload the completed, signed Hands-On Skills check form.
An ACLS.com Support Advisor will review the form and verify both the skills check requirements and your evaluators' status and participation.
When verified by our team, you will receive a new provider card that indicates you have completed both didactic and psychomotor skills evaluation.
Present your updated provider card to your employer.
Once the skills form has been completed, return to your course and navigate to the fourth section of Module #1 labeled "[Course Name] Hands-on Skills Check". Click "Go To Assignment". This will open a new tab and is where you will upload the completed/signed evaluation.
Scroll down, select the "Add File" button, attach the evaluation form, then click the Submit button.

Once we receive the completed form, we will send you a confirmation email, and our team will review and verify your form for both successful completion and to confirm your evaluator’s status and participation. We also suggest informing your evaluator to expect an email from us. When we reach out to them as part of our verification, a quick response will help expedite the process. A typical turnaround time is three to five business days.
After we have verified and approved your submission, this step will be graded as “pass” in the course, and the course will be marked complete. At that time, we will also email you instructions for downloading your updated provider card that indicates you have completed both didactic and the psychomotor/hands-on skills evaluations.
*Please note that ACLS.com does not provide in-person or virtual hands-on skills check services. The skills evaluation course, including all forms, instructions, and verification steps, is only meant to assist you with the process. To complete this step, you must find a qualified instructor to conduct the evaluation. We recommend sharing the evaluator instructions from your skills course with your instructor for a seamless process.
